On the back of an excellent set of IB results last month, Sherborne Girls in Dorset is celebrating its 2018 A Level results with 72% of grades awarded at A*- B and 55% of students achieving at least one A grade or higher, maintaining its academic reputation for consistently strong results.

The majority of girls will now progress to their first choice university to study a variety of courses including Medicine at Nottingham and Bristol; German and Politics at Edinburgh and Business Management at Exeter. 

Headmistress, Jenny Dwyer, commenting on the results, said: “We are delighted with our A Level and International Baccalaureate results and the fact that the girls are going on to pursue the subjects that inspire them most. I am incredibly impressed by the girls’ hard work and commitment, which is backed up by staff whose care and unwavering support is second to none.”

Based on UCAS Tariff Points system, when combining the IB and A Level grades, the combined 2018 results show:
