Fees & Financial Support

Registration Fee and Deposit

The registration fee is £300 (inc VAT) and a deposit of £2,000 is payable by all parents on acceptance of a place.  International (non-resident) families are required to pay a full term's fees as deposit, plus an additional £500 fee for student visa administration.

The registration fee is non-refundable.  The deposit is credited to the pupil’s final account and is refundable if we are unable to offer the candidate a place. Please refer to our terms and conditions, provided at offer stage, for information about deposit refunds.

Schedule of School Fees

The Government have announced that VAT will be imposed on school fees from January 2025.

To help mitigate the impact of VAT, the Governors have decided to reduce the headline fees for the next two terms (Lent and Trinity 2025) by 5.3%.

Financial Support

Bursaries are awarded on the completion of a means-tested process and are subject to regular review. Bursaries may be awarded in conjunction with Scholarships and Exhibitions.

Military and Foreign Office families are normally eligible for a 10% remission of fees.

Upon completion of the registration process , parents/guardians may contact the Operations Bursar ([email protected]) to be considered for bursarial support.  Sherborne Girls employs Bursary Assessment Associates (BAA) to collate the financial circumstances of bursary applicants on behalf of the School.  Parents/guardians are invited to complete an application for bursarial support via a secure portal, administered by BAA, by the following dates:

  • 20 October 2025 for 16+ (Sixth Form) entry in September 2026
  • 30 October 2025 for 11+ (Fourth Form) entry in September 2026
  • 27 November 2025 for 13+ (Fifth Form) entry in September 2026
