Sherborne Girls Celebrates A Level Success

We wish the Class of 2022 all the very best as they leave Sherborne Girls.  

Sherborne Girls in Dorset is celebrating the achievement of its Upper Sixth pupils who have secured the most outstanding set of A Level results following public examinations, with a record 26% at A* grade.  

Of those applying, 94% have secured a place at one of their chosen universities including Oxford, Cambridge, and Russell Group, with a further two pupils meeting the requirements for Trinity College, Dublin. In addition, places have been secured at prestigious overseas universities including Hong Kong University. Interest in Art and Design courses remains strong with pupils starting Art courses in Bath, London, Paris, and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. 

The girls will be taking up a range of challenging and inspiring courses including Aerospace Engineering, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Physiotherapy, Liberal Arts, Medicine, Graphic Design, Economics and Finance, International Relations and Neuroscience.  

Dr Ruth Sullivan, Head said: “I would like to congratulate our outgoing Upper Sixth who have been a privilege to work with during their time at Sherborne Girls. They have shown a level of maturity, good humour, focus and stoicism beyond their years, while continuing to be caring, compassionate and supportive of one another. I have never failed to be impressed by their approach to learning and life.  

“I, along with all the staff at Sherborne Girls, wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their educational journeys.”
