Sherborne Girls in Dorset is delighted that its Upper Fifth (Year 11) pupils have dealt so admirably with the adverse conditions the pandemic has presented in respect of their GCSE examinations. Today’s results reflect the tenacity, hard work, commitment and engagement of this cohort and their teachers, combined with the fantastic support provided by their parents over the past two years.
Headmistress, Dr Ruth Sullivan, commented: “Everyone here at Sherborne Girls is so pleased for this cohort, for all that they have achieved, as well as their approach and determination. We are delighted they have secured the grades of which they are so deserving, which will help them progress to the next stage in their educational journey and which they can celebrate and look back upon with a real sense of pride.
“We look forward to welcoming this year group back to the Sixth Form in early September and know that they will build upon this excellent foundation as they embark with renewed purpose upon their A Level programme.”
