Sacha, Grace, Chloe, Julia, Katie and Cecilia took part in the Juvenes Translatores competition yesterday.
This is a European wide translation competition for students born in the year 2000. Sherborne Girls was lucky to be selected for this year’s competition in which girls translated from French and Spanish into English. Their translations have now been sent to Brussels for judging. All the girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience of translating for two hours, trying to find the best English wording to convey the subtleties of the original text.
