Fundraising for Rwanda

Celia, Charlotte, Emily, Katie, Fenella, Blanca, Grace, Clementine, Alice, Lucy, Emily, and Ottilie travelled to Rwanda in July 2016 to learn about the genocide. During the trip, they volunteered with children in the SACCA orphanage, taught children in a local secondary school and also spent some time in a blind school. They fundraised prior to the trip with events such as parents tennis tournament, spring fling disco, cake sales, mufti days and a raffle.

On their return, the girls donated their fundraising monies to help give widows electricity, and some went to the building of the new SACCA orphanage in the Rwamagana district. Now a plaque has been put in place to recognise their donation.
