Holly works for Norwegian energy company Equinor (formerly Statoil), which supplies a quarter of Britain’s gas and is building the world’s first-ever floating windfarm in Scotland.
She started in the global strategy department in London in 2011, then moved to Norway in 2015 to work as an adviser to the chief executive, writing speeches, meeting with politicians and executives, and trying to learn Norwegian. She has recently returned to a new position in London.
Before joining Statoil, she was head of oil and gas at analysis company Business Monitor International, where she was frequently interviewed as an energy expert on the BBC as well as on American TV and radio. Holly has degrees in Classics from Oxford and Global Politics from Birkbeck University. Outside work she sings with London’s Bach Choir, is a member of the Quiz League of London, and won series 6 of cult BBC quiz show Only Connect.
