Despite two days of difficult racing conditions there was some great results for the Sherborne Girls team for the third year in a row. There was 20cm of fresh snow overnight before the Giant on Monday, and it continued to snow throughout the day too. This made racing difficult as there was lots of soft snow on the track. It was also very cold - 15 at the top of the course! This year the standard was higher than last year with a greater number of registered skiers than before, more older girls and three GB team skiers.
The results for the team were:
Giant
Unregistered results:
Team: 1st unregistered Team - Sherborne Girls
1st unregistered U21 - Sacha
2nd unregistered U18 - Millie
Slalom
Registered results:
3rd U21 - Sacha
Unregistered results:
Team: 2nd unregistered team - Sherborne Girls (Sophie and Sacha's results)
1st unregistered U21 - Sacha
Combined results:
Team: 2nd overall unregistered team - Sherborne Girls (Sacha, Millie and Sophie's results)

The girls all skied brilliantly as a team. Millie unfortunately crashed at the bottom of the first slalom run, spectacularly breaking her pole, but decided to do the second run for fun and got the 6th fastest time overall. Sacha skied confidently to complete four clear runs and won her category. Sophie produced four excellent runs, improving her position on last year and ensuring the team's score counted for the combined prizes.
