We aim to deliver excellence in every area of school life and we have invested boldly in our facilities over the past ten years: a new science centre; refurbished classrooms with first-class technology; new and improved boarding houses; a new swimming pool and sports centre; new sixth form centre; and new Astro.
The final project in our previous 'growing for the' future development plan was a transformational new performing arts centre – The Merritt Centre - which was officially opened in June 2019. It comprises a new music school, recital hall, two foyers, exhibition space, multi-functional social areas, café and new drama school.
The Merritt Centre was made possible thanks to a significant £2.5m fundraising appeal. A huge thank you to over 700 donors who supported this inspirational project and helped make it a reality. There are still opportunities to add your support, including putting your name to a seat in the new recital hall. For more information, please contact [email protected].
Following a decade of development, we are now working on an Estate Masterplan to ensure all school facilities are of the highest standard possible. This will include upgrading school buildings and boarding houses, rewilding the campus and improving the landscaping of the school grounds. We will continue to look at opportunities to enhance our campus and facilities to ensure we deliver excellence in all areas of school. If you would like to discuss future opportunities or ideas to improve our buildings and facilities, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We are committed to providing the best possible facilities, care and experiences to prepare the girls for their future careers and lives. It is not enough for our girls to leave us with the best possible exam results; they need to be creative learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and effective communicators. We need to educate our girls for the future and drive innovation in the classroom. To deliver on this promise, we are continually looking at how we can develop, improve and maximise our facilities and resources.
