Sherborne Girls is continuing to review its position to minimise the risk of COVID-19 to its community and we therefore ask for the support and understanding of our visitors.

Taking guidance from PHE and educational associations, such as the Boarding Schools’ Association, our COVID-19 guidelines are:

We ask visitors not to come to the school campus if:

  • in the past 14 days they have travelled from, or transited through, any of the countries or areas that are currently on ‘lockdown’
  • the visitor has developed a fever (above 37.8C) or a new, continuous cough within the last seven days

Any visitors to the school should wash their hands with soap and water before leaving home and use the sanitising gel which is now in place at key building entrances.

If you are bringing a team for a fixture or a similar event, we ask that you have checked that none of the members of this group fall into either of the categories above.

We would also like to advise you that the school is currently discouraging handshakes as a greeting. We apologise for not being able to give you our usual warm welcome, but we must take the current situation very seriously and look after the welfare of our pupils and staff.

As the COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly, we would ask that you check this page again immediately prior to your visit in case our position has changed.

We thank you for your understanding and support.
