Success at the Taunton Festival of Arts

We are delighted to announce that, after a year off due to the pandemic, the Taunton Festival of the Arts reopened its doors for its 107th edition. Sherborne Girls musicians participated in the Piano and String classes, achieving great success across all levels; a week full of wonderful music-making with our girls being in the centre stage of one of the most renowned and long-standing arts festival of the South West.

Sophie Angelosanto (U4) Blackdown Cup, 12 years and under class

Katya Burgess (U4) Winner of the Grade 5 Piano class

Tahlia Mistry (L5) Kingsfield Cup, 14 years and under class

Laria Campbell (U5) WL Reed Cup, 18 years and under class

Lauren Carty (U6) winner of the 20th Century composer class and Grade 8 piano class both with a Distinction performance

Daisy Du (U5) Joint 1st prize in the Recital Class, 18 years and under

Aimme Chen (U5) Winner of the Grade 6 Piano class with a Distinction

Daisy Du and Laria Campbell won the Wilkinson Cup in the Piano Duet class, 18 years and under

Second prizes

Sarah Zhu () Second prize, Grade 6 Piano class

Corlis Chui (M5) Second prize, Grade 5 Piano class

Alexandra Smith (L6) Second prize, Piano Solo class for 18 years and under

Bernice Lau (U5) Grace Zhu (U4), Ella Davidson (L5), Cerys Heard (L6), Vivian Ji (U5), Alissa Brunwin (M5), Molly Maleuverer (L6) Imogen Coote (M5), Siena Barclay (L5) all got a Commended Certificate in their respective classes.
