Sherborne Girls is celebrating the announcement of this year’s International Baccalaureate results with pupils achieving an average 36.6 diploma score, well above the worldwide average of 30 points. An incredible 74% of Higher-Level papers were awarded a grade 7 or 6, an A Level equivalent of an A* or A respectively. 

Exceptional sets of results were achieved by Jialu Fang, Eva Istenko, Natasha Linhart, Annabel Mortimer, Hannah Shirley and Eleanor Wheatley who all achieved 39 points or more (equivalent to more than 4 A* grades at A Level). Natasha and Hannah were best in school, both with an outstanding 43 points each placing them well inside the top 2% of candidates worldwide.  

Confirmed university offers for pupils at this stage include places at Birmingham, Cardiff, Durham, Imperial and UCL.  

Dr Ruth Sullivan, Headmistress said: 

“Congratulations to all the girls who worked so hard and to the staff for their ongoing care and support. We shall look forward to celebrating further achievements next month when the A Level and GCSE results are announced.”
